Hello and welcome to The November issue of Jurassic Minutes
Where we discuss recent movie, toy and franchise news for the Jurassic series.
Introductions
Brad
David
On this episode we will be discussing
Not a lot, with the film release pushed back news will probably get less and less, so these monthly shows might get a bit shorter.
Recent Toy or Prop Purchases?
Brad - nil
Dave -
- Finally found a Bumpy and Alioramus in the wild
- JW Live Show Life-Sized Compy Jeanie the Troodon Plushie
- On the way: Fangoria issues for JP(x2), TLW(x2), and JP///
- Succumbed to scalpers, and bought a Postosuchus on Amazon. Eta = Dec?
Now for the news….
00:12:39 David you’ve been watching the 35mm open matte version of JP. Some great little discoveries?
Kyle and Brody did a good job covering jp one minute at a time. I don’t see the need to go through it ourselves. We reference JP all the time, I’m unsure if we will have time to do a full episode discussing the film. It’s great, we all know that. Depending on where we are going into Fallen Kingdom, and the release of Dominion there may be time to go through JP 5 minutes at a time or something to just discuss the film, our likes and dislikes etc. We will see what happens.
00:27:50 Filming has wrapped on Dominion. With all the starts and stops it’s going to be the longest production of the franchise; 18 months, it seems. If you're not counting the 14 year lead into JW, that is.

Spoiler Alert!
00:30:14 Sam Neill confirms a new animal to roar onto screens.

End spoiler alert
00:42:59 Production notes: If all goes well we will have episodes each week leading into and through the X-Mas break. Those of you that follow us on social media would have seen the images posted up from the gangland film featuring the Operations Building from The Lost World. The next minutes will be a full breakdown of that film's use of the Lost World set as well as a comprehensive look into the history of the Worker Village set post-1996, “Gangland” to “Sliders” and the backlot tram tour. I’ve been pouring through hundreds of YouTube videos of family vacations. It will soon be time to reveal it all.
I’d also love to hear from anyone who’s visited the back lot, particularly in the late 90’s.
